ecostore Packaging

It is our priority to continuously reduce the environmental impact involved in our packaging & delivery process. That is why, at ecostore we use a combination of eco-friendly packaging materials such as: repurposed cardboard, compostable packing paper and BioZ wrap.

Boxes:

At ecostore.ie we use repurposed cardboard boxes to package our products. Our cardboard boxes are both recyclable & compostable.

Filling:

We use recycled and compostable brown packing paper and woodwool for filling in our packages.

Pallet Wrap Alternative:

We get a lot of emails about the “Plastic” Wrap that we use to protect some of our packages. The material that we use is called BioZ - our customers can rest assured that this is in fact a biodegradable & eco-friendly alternative to traditional, plastic pallet wrap.

This material fully breaks down to just carbon and oxygen. This complete degradation means no trace is left to pollute the environment. Not only is it the most biodegradable wrap on the market, BioZ can also be recycled so it can be collected and recycled with other plastics without causing any contamination.

Please Note:

Some items that we receive from our suppliers are pre-wrapped in plastic. In this instance, we keep must keep the plastic on the product to avoid the risk of damage to the product before we send it out. We hope that in the future they find alternatives. this is happening slowly but surely.
